In keeping with our theme this month, we're going to take an up close and personal look into Michael and Paul's renovated North Side Contemporary.

Santa Fe has such an eclectic style in home design and community living. It mirrors the V & R methodology and when it feels right to push the classical approach a little or a lot; we do it!

When it comes to redesign, refresh, and reimagine, we love to take our designs to the next level. We believe simple is beautiful and mixing it up can be extraordinary in surprising ways.

In the Land of Enchantment the modern style of Santa Fe is the result of a rich historical tapestry, a vibrant artistic community, and a deep connection to its natural environment.

Our city loves the one-of-a-kind aesthetic that sets Santa Fe apart from many other places, and that includes the well lived-in and updated home.

Santa Fe's architecture, with authentic adobe as the original backdrop, now finds a place for the streamlined look of contemporary home designing.

Typically, contemporary design will embrace simplicity in both architecture and interiors. You'll find flat roofs, geometric shapes, and a lack of ornate details. Open and fluid spaces are the priority, along with large windows or glass walls to bring in natural light to connect with outdoor spaces. Unique details give a contemporary home its character and reflects the personality of its occupants.

Living close to downtown, and finding a home with a view, was the vision Michael and Paul set out to find. Open concept living, simple clean lines, a surround garden, and bright views from every room define the space. The home needed to be the right fit for their Spanish antiques and art collection.

The finished look includes cabinetry materials of horizontal grained, rift-cut oak and topped with Eurostone. Engineered wide plank wood floors in French white oak for a smooth transition adds warmth to the soft contemporary and comfortable living style.

When interior designers create their own homes, the result is often a stunning showcase of their personal style, creativity, and expertise. These spaces tend to be thoughtfully curated, with careful attention to detail, color schemes, and functionality.
